Whatever you call it, it's a vagina and you need to get to know it.
For many the vagina is a scary mystical place where little elves roam while fantastic and deadly beast lay. In reality, it is just another part of the female body.
Here is the vagina all labeled.

Looking at a vagina/vulva, it is easy to see how some women might be like, "Oh hell no". There is a lot going on down there. Below you will find is a simplified version of what you need to know about the female genitalia.
- Vulva - All of the genitalia outside the body.
- Labia - Two pairs of "lips", majora (outer) and minora (inner), that are like a door to the vagina. They are sensitive the touch and protect the vaginal canal.
- Clitoris - A piece of erectile tissue at the top most part of the vulva, very sensitive to stimulation because it is filled with nerve endings. It is protected by the clitoral hood. The clitoris extends inside the body, behind the labia majora.
- Vagina – The actual canal inside the body. It is a highly flexible and muscle bound. The outer 1-2in is sensitive to touch, but the inner 2-4in is not as sensitive but can feel pressure.
- G-Spot - Tightly bound fibrous tissue that can be stimulated for pleasurable sensations. As it stands, there is a STILL much debate about the purpose of the g-spot, if it really exists. I asked a OB/GYN and she said, "Yes, the g-spot exists. No, we are not 100% sure on its purpose. Until we figure it out, I will continue to use it for many fun things lol." Yes she did say,"lol".
It is not really all that complex. However, it is cool to see how it all works together. Now that you know what's going on outside, you should find out what's going on inside.

Here's what you need to know about this part.
- Ovaries - These are two little sacs that produce eggs as well as estrogen and progesterone.
- Fallopian tubes – They connect the ovaries to the uterus. They transport the eggs to the uterus using cilia, which are little hairs that sway pushing the eggs forward.
- Uterus - This is a sex organ that reacts to the hormones produced by the body. Its main purpose when you are not pregnant is to be ready to hold a baby when you are. It is essential for sex because it directs blood flow to your pelvic area. It consists of three different layers:
- Endometrium - The blood and nutrient rich inner layer of the uterus. This is what is expelled during your period.
- Myometrium - The middle layer of the uterus, it is mainly muscle. This contacts to expel the endometrium during menstruation and helps push a baby during birth.
- Cervix - Entrance to the uterus. Closes when pregnant, convulses during orgasm, opens during menstruation.
That is what you've got going on down there. I suggest you take some alone time with a mirror and your fingers to get to know what yours looks and feels like. Get to know what your pussy, be aware of how it changes. Knowing what is normal for your squishy will help prevent you from being surprised by sudden changes. Even though you see these diagrams, everyone's cunt is different. They are like snowflakes.
Now we are going to move to what happens when…?
I get aroused: Your entire vulva fills with blood. All the parts that are sensitive to touch become much more sensitive. Your uterus will move up into your body, elongating your vaginal canal. When you reach orgasm, the cervix will convulse. After arousal, everything goes back to normal, the open cervix dipping into the semen that may or may not be there.
I have a orgasm: The muscles that surround the vaginal canal, and your g-spot will convulse, everything becomes right with the world, happiness flows over you. For those women who can 'squirt' you will do so, everyone for miles around will be amazed.
After I cum: You will be out of breath, sweaty, and happy. If the stimulation stops (hope it doesn't) then the blood that engorged your vulva will flush out. Most women don't have a refractory period so you can get going all over again, usually it'll be easier to orgasm the second time around.
I have get my period: There are actually 2 things that happen during your period; menstruation, which involves the uterus, and ovulation, which involves the ovaries. Menstruation happens in 3 basic steps over 28 days:
- Menstruation (days 1-4): This step is where your uterus contracts to loosen and expel the old lining of the uterus (endometrium) and the unfertilized eggs, leaving behind an all-new lining.
- Proliferation (days 5-13 & 14-26): The new lining swells with blood and nutrients, in preparation for the possibly fertilized egg to be implanted. Days 14-26 are spent just waiting around.
- Ischemic (days 27-28): This is a resting period between each cycle
Ovulation also occurs in 3 steps.
- Follicular (days 1-13): The hormone FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) does what it says and stimulates the movement of the follicles in the ovaries and fallopian tubes to prepare for ovulation.
- Ovulatory (days 14-16): The skin of the ovary (corpus lutem) softens and one egg (ovum) is released into the fallopian tubes to wait for sperm to fertilize it. If it is not fertilized it will dissolve in the fallopian tube.
- Luteal (days 17-28): The skin of the ovary re-hardens thanks to the hormone progesterone.
Eventually the progesterone production will wane and cause the entire menstrual cycle to start all over again.
