You either love it or hate it, but do you know what it is really? I was asked and I didn't so I put this together for you.

For those who don’t know what semen is… Semen is the ejaculate of male mammals. Its main purpose is to transport sperm to the awaiting egg of a female mammal for reproductive purposes. That’s how it’s supposed to be used, but we all know that the large majority of the semen ejaculated by humans ends up on a towel at the bottom of the laundry basket instead of a vagina.

So what's it made of?

All that stuff helps the sperm cells be more efficient in their journey to reach the summit of mount ovum. Before you get all grossed by that list, you should know that all those ingredients are already in everyone and everything we eat. Every living thing on planet Earth is made of... Semen. Well, everything on Earth is made of the same stuff that is on semen but you get the drift.

 Knowing what it's made of is all well and good but if you're putting this in your tummy you need to know if it's going to wreck your diet.

So you can gobble it up all you like guilt free. The amount of calories you burn to work for the semen is way more than you're consuming.

Some cool things about semen...

Semen has been shown to have anti-depressant properties in women. That's probably so that women will enjoy it and make them want to come in contact with it more increasing the likelihood of baby making.

Semen is sometimes used as a treatment in... facials. Some studies suggest that it may be helpful for teeth as well.

Minutes after ejaculation, semen may thicken up into a jelly like consistency and will eventually become clear and runny.

It is very, VERY rare but some people can be allergic to semen. Recently there has been some research into men who are allergic to their own semen, but results are inconclusive.

Eating semen can have a laxitive effect, but that's even more rare than the alergy.
