Live Birth Captured With MRI (Video) - Quickies

Doctors in Germany have finally been able to capture the birthing process using an MRI. They were able to capture images all the way until the amniotic sac burst. As a precaution they switched the machine off at that point as to cause the child and possible hearing damage, the mother wore ear plugs for the duration. This is quite amazing. This is the first time anyone has seen this and will undoubtedly prove invaluable in helping to solve many issues that arrive during birth.
For those who don't know a MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) machine works by emitting magnetic waves in a way that make some atoms detectable with sound waves. It is generally thought to be much less harmful than xrays, all except for the incredibly loud sound it makes.
